JOB TITLE:                              Launch Manager

DIRECTLY REPORTS TO:       General Manager

LOCATION:                              Beijing

Purpose of the Role:

To assure he plants are prepared to launch new products, mid cycle enhancement, or any other major project as identified by the VP of JIT/Director of Launches or Director of Operation for a Business Unit utilizing the Plant Launch Glide Path System.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for interface with Program Management to assure all Phase requirements are completed by the SDT team and provided in the proper formats to the plant(s).

- Responsible for coordinating the activities of the Plant(s) Launch Team to assure plant systems, equipment, tracking programs are completed on time and in compliance with all JCI Plant Launch Glide Path System.

- Responsible for assuring launch “0,0,100,30” goals are met, working through Plant Manager.

- Responsible for “Red Flag” process when launch is missing Key Quality or Timing elements. The Launch Manager must have coordinated directly with Red Flag issues.

- Responsible for all aspects of a Plant Launch Glide Path to assure support teams stay in focus of launch objectives.

- Responsible for providing accurate and timely reports of the Plant Launch Glide Path System to upper management of launch status.

- Launch Managers must be prepared to coordinate multiple launches simultaneously.

- Assure MEQ standards are applied through out all aspects of the launch(s).

- Provide Plant Manager, Regional Launch Manager and Director Operations, feedback on new staffing decision and plant performance of plant staff personnel as necessary.

- Assure plant has all support needed from internal organization to launch plant/product successfully. Must eliminate any “roadblocks” which may hinder plant achieving goals.

Requirements:

- Degree in relevant field.

- Hasexperience in new plant set up with automotive background.

- Fluent English speaking and writing skills
